Job Title: Operations HSE Advisor
Summary:
The Operations HSE Advisor is a key member of the HSE team organization, responsible for providing leadership and expertise in the improvement and implementation of health, safety, and environmental management programs. This position is responsible for coordinating the administrative HSE activities and functions and will act as a technical consultant to management and BU leadership on all aspects of HSE.
Responsibilities:
- Review and improve HSE procedures to align with industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and support the Operations teams with developing risk assessments and associated mitigations.
- Foster a strong safety culture and provide training, coaching, and mentoring to employees.
- Lead and support incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and develop corrective and preventive actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Perform regular HSE audits, inspections, and assessments, and support with follow up and improvements.
- Work with training department on HSE training programs to enhance the skills and awareness of employees and contractors particularly those identified in HSE critical roles.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, or Engineering).
- Professional certification in HSE.
- Holding valid and different international certificates such as COW authority, HITRA, and Safety culture leadership.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSE roles.
- Experience in a Gas Production / Operations environment is essential.
- Strong knowledge of Management SystStrong knowledge of oil and gas industry regulations and best practices and effective implementation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence and drive change within an organization.
- Proficiency in HSE IT tools, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience of managing contracts.
- Proactive – ability to make decisions and initiate actions.
- A track record of working to international standards.
- Proven record of coaching and development.
